THE CARBON ECONOMY · COMPANIES & INDUSTRIES

Discover what carbon could make possible in a business.

Explore companies and economic systems through the materials they use, produce and purchase. A commercial opportunity can begin with a waste stream, a product requirement, a site, an invention or a missing market connection.

Explore named companies

Search a company or filter by operating sector.

The opportunity is larger than the company name.

Company profiles begin with a plausible operational context, not assertions about a particular facility. CRT evaluates site realities, buyers, scientific complements and commercial conditions before any development decision.

MARKET DEMAND, NOT GRANT DEPENDENCE

Build for the customer who can use it—and pay for it.

01 · The business case

Commercial advantage comes first

Who could buy or sponsor this? What would improve their margins, supply, resilience, operations or competitive position? What economic threshold must a solution beat?

02 · Early demand

Involve industry before expensive development

Use market conversations to shape specifications, purchasing requirements, timing, budgets and conditional commitments. An expression of interest is useful evidence, not a guaranteed sale.

03 · Reciprocal development

Fund missing science around a real use case

Translate market demand into a bounded university or industry research scope, with authorized IP rights, milestones and value for inventors, institutions and commercial participants.

04 · Durable economics

Environmental value strengthens, not substitutes for, the model

Validate energy and material balances, lifecycle impacts, carbon claims, permanence where relevant, and compliance. Environmental credits, incentives, grants and public programs may help when appropriate, but are not the default buyer or revenue model.

Public examples are opportunity hypotheses unless separately evidenced; no corporate purchase, partner endorsement, climate claim, university license or research funding is implied.
